No, as long as you don’t leave leftovers for too long and clean the tank every 2 weeks

  • Heat mat

  • Water bowl big enough for the snake to submerge in 

  • Hot side and cool side

  • 2 hideouts

  • Aspen shavings as substrate

  • Corn snakes are nocturnal

  • Corn snakes are most encountered with on summer nights

  • Corn snakes sometimes get mistaken for copperheads so they get killed

  • The ideal temperature for a corn snake is 75 - 85 degrees F. The night temperature should be around 75 - 80 degrees F

  • Keep humidity at 40 - 60%

  • Corn snakes love hiding places and branches to climb on

  • Corn snakes can carry Salmonella, so take it to the vet before keeping it at home
