Useful tips

  • Leopard geckos need a cold and warm side in their tank. The heat mat should be under the warm side. DO NOT directly put the heat mat in the tank. Put it under the tank.

  • Ideal temperatures Leopard Geckos range from 75-80°F on the cool side and 80-85°F on the warm side. Provide a 90-95°F basking area on the warm side.

  • The substrate, or floor covering, needs to be natural to minimize the risk of impaction - a potentially fatal issue where particles become lodged inside the belly and cause a blockage. So do not use 'caci-sand or beech wood chips as these cannot be digested.
